I am extremely happy to have participated today: Workers organize May Day rallies in Tampa Bay

The March started at Union Marti-Maceo at 5:00 p.m. and the highlight was a stop at the Jose Marti Park in Ybor City, Tampa. (WMNF)

"A little park stands in tribute to Martí as well, complete with a statue of the revolutionary, but this park is different than all the rest in one very big way: it's Cuban territory. Yes, the 0.14-acre José Martí Park (1303 E. Eight Ave., Ybor City) has been owned by the Cuban government since 1956. Indeed, there's no need to wait to visit (albeit a very little piece of) Cuba after all!" (http://experience.usatoday.com/).

The police were nice.
